Feevale University professor, Moema Pereira Nunes, is joining the faculty of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (OvGU), in Germany, where she is working with the subject Global Sourcing – the Brazilian Perspective, as an invited professor, until December 15th. In addition, she will be approaching European academics the possibilities of an interchange program at Feevale and all the same Feevale´s infrastructure, among other issues. The institution and the German University have recently signed an agreement of student, academic and research mobility.

The first action of this partnership resulted in the planning of a MBA course in International Business. The OvGU is about to attend a technical visit at Feevale, which will provide seminars on the German business environment and business visits to companies, among others, all directed to students into international affairs.

‘The European academics are likely to study a period in Brazil, but the big difficulty is to find universities that offer classes in English. This was one of the advantage to have the partnership established’, states Moema.

The subject professor Moema works with at the German university integrates the knowledge of business environment in Brazil, since the economic opening from the late 1980 up to the present moment; technical aspects of import processes in Brazil; theory about global purchases; and the prospect of Brazilian companies. The classes are in a seminar format, addressing several study cases based on the Brazilian companies’ experiences.
