The group boards on May 7 to Otto-von-Guericke Universität, a partner of Feevale University in Europe
A group of 12 academics from the MBA in International Business at Feevale University embark on a study trip to Germany on May 7th. They will remain until the 15th of May at Otto-von-Guericke Universität (OVGU), a partner institution of Feevale. In Germany, they will participate in a series of activities within the scope of the postgraduate program, which aims to specialize professionals for the business management of companies inserted in the international context, focusing on the use of management tools and foreign trade operations in a strategic perspective.
The trip's program includes participation in seminars on Cross-cultural Management, the environment of startups and entrepreneurship in Germany, and Doing Business in the country, as well as visits to companies. The students will also go to the Brazilian embassy in Berlin and meet with the Trade Promotion Sector (Secom), which supports Brazilian companies that develop business in Germany. They will also visit the German Parliament and will participate in networking activities with OVGU students. This will be the first time, since the beginning of the pandemic, that the German institution will receive foreign students.
According to the academic coordinator of the MBA, Moema Pereira Nunes, this experience allows students to experience the international environment, as well as getting to know another culture and a different business environment. “For many students, this is the first international experience, and, during the activities, we were able to experience several points studied in class on how to live and negotiate with people from different countries”, she highlights. Moema also emphasizes the importance of this contact at a time of war, as OVGU has plenty of students and teachers from Russia and Ukraine. “We understand that talking to people from those countries, or to family members in those countries, is an excellent opportunity to better understand the international dynamics”, she concludes.
