Ana Beatriz Rubert developed work on the virucidal potential of guava leaf extracts against the MHV-3 virus
PIBIC-EM Junior Scientific Initiation scholarship, Ana Beatriz Rubert, was selected to participate in the Science EXPO 2024 fair, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The event will take place between April 20th and 23rd and will bring together diverse research by young scientists. The work carried out by Ana Beatriz evaluates the virucidal potential of guava leaf extracts against the MHV-3 virus and was developed in collaboration with Feevale's Molecular Microbiology and Cytotoxicity laboratories. The professor of the Masters in Toxicology and Toxicological Analysis and in Virology at Feevale, Ana Luiza Ziulkoski, was the research co-supervisor.
According to Professor Ana, the presentation of Ana Beatriz's work at Science EXPO 2024 is an excellent opportunity to publicize the results obtained in the research. “Participation in the fair enables the internationalization of our laboratories and new opportunities for exchange and interaction”, she explains.
Ana Beatriz highlights the expectations of getting to know a new country and acquiring knowledge by exchanging experience with other young scientists. “I am very happy to have been selected to participate in the fair and represent Brazil in Denmark”, she states.
