Lurdi Blauth's Aguaceiro, 2018 - lithography polyester series will be exhibited in Canada
Feevale University professor Lurdi Blauth was selected to exhibit at the 11th International Biennial of Contemporary Printmaking Trois-Rivières (BIECTR) in Canada. The series of prints entitled Aguaceiro, 2018 - Litografia Polyester is composed by images in which the artist used photography as a resource to record a torrential rain falling on the windshield of a car. "This gesture leads me to think about the possibilities of creating a certain permanence of an ephemeral and transient moment, provoked by the visual tensions that can be evidenced by means of contrasts between blacks, whites and ashes of the image," the artist explains. About fifty works were selected from the 445 submitted. Lurdi’s works will be exposed until September 8th.
