Daniela Osorio, PhD in Ecology, will work in the Atmospheric Chemistry laboratories
Prof. Daniela Montanari Migliavacca Osorio, Ph.D. in Ecology, is participating in an internship at the Center for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM) from 9 to 21 June in Aveiro, Portugal. As a partner of University of Aveiro, the Center aims to develop international research in environmental sciences and related risks, including extreme weather events and climate change, with emphasis on coastal systems and complex socio-ecological marine areas.
Cesam has several laboratories and Professor Daniela will take an internship in the research laboratories of the Atmospheric Chemistry group, coordinated by Dr. Célia Alves. This internship participation aims to take a closer step for a possible institutional partnership, focusing on issues related to indoor and outdoor air pollution, as well as on technologies for collecting and analyzing different chemical compounds.
Prof. Daniela is also having the opportunity to visit the laboratory of the research group of Professor Alfredo Rocha, PhD in Meteorology and member of the Meteorology and Climatology group, linked to the Department of Physics, which works with research on energy systems and climate change. "My expectation is to enhance the internationalization of the Graduate Degree Program in Environmental Quality," said Daniela.
