Exchange program offers learning opportunities in their fields of study
Students from Feevale University—Alexsandra Batikoski, Eduarda Silva de Mello, Fernanda Carazzai, and Milena Castilhos de Moras from the Nursing program, and Mileny Schneider Junges from the Nutrition program—are participating in an exchange program in Portugal. The students are at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria to take part in an Observership in the Health field, which provides hands-on observation practice in their areas of study.
The activities began on Tuesday, January 21, and will run until February 14. During the three-week exchange program, the students will complete a total of 140 hours of activities in different treatment units at Santo André Hospital, a local health unit in the Leiria region. The goal of the Observership is to allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge in an academic environment outside Brazil. Furthermore, it provides opportunities to establish connections with international professionals, as well as to explore new cultures.
The next call for applications for the Observership—Experience in the Fields of Nursing, Nutrition, and Physical Therapy—will be announced on February 17. Students from Feevale’s Nursing, Nutrition, and Physical Therapy programs, enrolled in any semester, are eligible to apply. The program will take place between January and February 2026 at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria in Portugal.
