Maria João Santos is an adjunct professor at institutions in Portugal
Starting this month, the Master’s in Psychology at Feevale University has a Portuguese professor in its faculty. Maria João Santos is an adjunct professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and at the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, both in Portugal. She focuses her studies in the area of emotions and their role in human development, integrating research projects such as the study Public policies for inclusion: comparative study between Portugal (district of Leiria) and Brazil, which is developed in a partnership between Feevale and the Polytechnic of Leiria.
Maria is the author of several articles and publications in the areas of Developmental Psychology and Inclusive Education. The articulation of the partnership with the professor aims at promoting internationalization and conducting research with foreign universities. In addition, it is an opportunity to expand collaboration among researchers from other countries, encourage incorporation into international networks and enable joint academic production.
