Feevale University hosted, between the 16th and 18th of November, the 6th Brazilian Symposium on Constructed Wetlands. The meeting brought together undergraduate and postgraduate academics, engineers, architects, biologists, chemists, businesspeople, researchers, and consultants from all over Brazil to discuss constructed wetlands - designed areas that simulate natural water and effluent treatment systems.
The Symposium took place at the Hall of Acts of Campus II, and included lectures, round tables, presentations of scientific works, an exhibition of e-posters and technical visits to effluent treatment plants. The rector of the University, Cleber Prodanov, thanked the participants for their presence and highlighted the importance of the event. “Hosting the Symposium is a great satisfaction, especially at this time when technology is advancing in order to simplify processes. Feevale hopes that the results of this meeting include concrete actions, good dissemination and knowledge for public authorities and companies about the use of technologies”, he explained.
