Undergraduates will travel in the first semester of this year
Feevale University Veterinary Medicine students Leocádio Graf, Maria Eduarda Rassia da Costa and Rafael Kuhn will go on international exchange in the first semester of this year. Rafael and Maria Eduarda will go to Soenderjysk Landboforening (SLF), in Denmark, and Leocádio will go to Azores Veterinary Practice in the United States.
Exchange programs include practical experiences and paid internships, through which students will understand the day-to-day work and general subjects of their study field. According to Paula Casari Cundari, director of International and Institutional Relations at Feevale, the University seeks to offer distinguished international experiences, with the purpose of connecting students with professionals and environments in their study areas. “These experiences add value to training and expand employability on a global scale”, she explains.
According to Graf, the exchange in the United States will offer the opportunity to delve deeper into his area of interest. “On the trip, I will have a lot of contact with cattle and assistance on properties, and my objective is to make the most of these experiences”, he highlights.
For Maria Eduarda and Kuhn, who will do a paid internship in Denmark, expectations involve challenges linked to the language. “We are going to work on a dairy farm. I am looking forward to gaining experiences that will help me in the future”, explains Maria Eduarda. “We are very excited to learn the language better and are excited to start working”, concludes Kuhn.
