Feevale Techpark also features in the "Innovation Champions" ranking released this Thursday, the 13th
Feevale University and Feevale Techpark have once again been included in the Innovation Champions ranking, in the Education and Research Institutions and Technology Parks categories. The results were announced by Grupo Amanhã and the IXL Center on the afternoon of Thursday, the 13th, at Tecnopuc in Porto Alegre. Rector José Paulo da Rosa and Director of Innovation Manuela Bruxel represented the institution at the ceremony.
The event, marking the 22nd edition of the award, which recognizes organizations that generate impact and transform society and the market through a commitment to innovation, focused on the theme "AI-driven governance: the future has already begun." The "Innovation Champions" survey utilizes the Innovation Management Index, a tool based on the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI) methodology and applied by the IXL Center, located in Cambridge, in the Boston metropolitan area (USA).
Gimi is a global non-profit organization founded by a team of executives, academics, and consultants specializing in innovation. The group helps individuals, companies,
and regions develop world-class innovation management capabilities through global standards, metrics, testing protocols, and certifications. In addition to companies headquartered in the South, multinationals and companies based in other states may also apply for the ranking, provided the participating unit is in Paraná, Santa Catarina, or Rio Grande do Sul.
To compile the list of the South's most innovative companies, corporate managers complete a questionnaire covering the following areas: Culture (assessing how managers practice and promote innovation), Organization (evaluating the extent to which organizational structure and management tools foster innovation), Processes (assessing the processes adopted from idea generation to product and service development), Resources (identifying innovation-focused resources and their synergies), and Strategy (evaluating the alignment between innovation and business strategy). The Results dimension reveals the capacity to transform ideas and suggestions into concrete, tangible, and measurable outcomes.
The ranking highlights the most innovative companies in the South, as well as winners in special categories covering Production Cooperatives; Education and Research; Business Associations; Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and Startups; Technology Parks; and State-owned, Philanthropic, and Non-profit Organizations.
