Feevale participates in activities at the town of Exu, until July 21st
Academics and professors from Feevale University travelled to Pernambuco to participate in an operation of the Rondon Project. Coordinated by the Ministry of Defense, the initiative seeks to contribute to the development of university students’ citizenship. Feevale was ranked first to be part of Operation Velho Chico, which will take place until July 21, at Exu, located in Sertão do Araripe. A group of eight academics, from different courses in the Health area, together with professors Magali Pilz, from Physiotherapy, and Maristela Cassia de Oliveira Peixoto, coordinator of Nursing, will hold workshops in the thematic areas of Part A of the project: Culture, Human Rights and Justice, Education and Health.
At Rondon Project, the main purpose is that the actions carried out are aimed at a public capable of reproducing and multiplying them within the community, making those actions permanent. The Project is an action of the Federal Government, coordinated by the Ministry of Defense, with the goal of contributing to the development of citizenship in university students, employing sustainable solutions for social inclusion and the reduction of regional inequalities and aiming to strengthen National Sovereignty. Among its goals are contributing to the formation of young university students as citizens, integrating them into the national development process as well as stimulating the production of local collective projects, in partnership with the assisted communities.
