An intense agenda in Portugal awaits the Pro-Rector for Research, Graduate Studies and Extension from Feevale University, João Sganderla Figueiredo, next week. From September 2nd to Semptember 8th, Figueiredo, who is a researcher, will attend the Citizens' Commitment in Risk Governance: From Inaction to Co-Decision conference, will give a lecture and will collaborate on a research project at the University of Coimbra.
Figueiredo will participate in the Risk AquaSoil research project, led by Professor Alexandre Tavares, from the Portuguese institution. The study aims to develop an appropriate soil and water risk management plan to promote resilience in rural Atlantic areas. Among the activities of the research group, the Pro-Rector will also give lectures on the subject Risk in communities with social and environmental vulnerability, at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. He will also attend the Citizens' Commitment in Risk Governance: From Inaction to Co-Decision conference, as co-author, with professors Neide Areia and Alexandre Tavares, of the lecture European environment experts confronting the post climate-hazard scenario. Towards the construction of an innovative narrative for climate change.
