Marco Antonio Siqueira Rodrigues, coordinator of the graduate studies in Materials Technology and Industrial Processes of Feevale, seeks solutions for the reuse of industrial waste
The coordinator of the graduate studies in Materials Technology and Industrial Processes of Feevale University, Marco Antonio Siqueira Rodrigues, has been representing the Institution in international events on recent days. Last week, the researcher participated in the Membranes for Waste 2 Resources 2019, organized by the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, one of the most important research institutions in that country, in Shanghai, China.
Rodrigues participated with the support of the Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq) and of an international research network constituted by Brazil, Russia, China, India and South Africa within the framework of the BRICS, the political group of cooperation constituted by these five countries. In the congress, researchers exchanged important technical information about their research, specifically in the field of metal recovery.
Researches also presented in Peru
Last month, the coordinator was also in Trujillo, Peru, to participate in the Workshop Internacional en Tecnologías de Membranas Aplicadas a la Indústria. The activities were organized by the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo and the local Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Cyted - Programa Ibero-Americano de Ciencia y Tecnología para el Desarrollo (Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development), which fosters research and innovation in Latin America. In the event, the professor presented the workshop Processes of separation of membranes for water reuse in the petrochemical industry. For this activity, Rodrigues was fostered by Cyted through a research project.
