Event is held by Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, a Feevale’s Dutch partner institution
Feevale University will participate in the SDG Generation Festival: there is no transition without transformation. Educating for the future we want, through the submission of two works developed by professors and academics of the Institution. The event is organized by Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, located in the Netherlands, and will take place between October 11th and 13th, in a hybrid format. The festival will feature free discussion panels and workshops on education for a more sustainable future. The activities will take place virtually and face to face, at the campus of the Dutch university.
With the work Resignification of Social and Environmental Education in the Sinos River Basin – Brazil, professor Natalia Aparecida Soares (photo), from the Biological Sciences course, will present a workshop on October 11th, at 9:15 am. She will address the innovative methodologies that integrate education for sustainable development and will speak, together with academics and professors from Feevale, about the work carried out in the social project Socioenvironmental EducAÇÃO (educacion+action) in the Sinos River Basin, which has been helping the formation of teachers of public schools in the municipalities that are part of the Basin since 2016.
Academics Cristiele da Rosa, from the Information Systems course, and Victoria Lauterbach, from the Audiovisual Production course, will present the work Transforming Technology into an Ally for Gender Equality: towards digital literacy in Southern Brazil, on October 13th, at 9:15 am. Guided by professors Sandra Teresinha Miorelli, Juliano Varella de Carvalho and Débora Nice Ferrari Barbosa, the students will present the social project Logicando: creative learning and digital technologies in the development of computational thinking, and will share ideas about the impact that collaboration among universities and partners can bring to the community.
