International alliance among institutions form Beyond: Alliance for Knowledge (BAK)
Feevale University will host the International Strategic Seminar - Beyond: Alliance for Knowledge (BAK) from October 22nd to October 24th. The event will bring together representatives from Finland's Häme University of Applied Sciences (Hamk) and Denmark's VIA University College, strategic partners in Feevale’s international cooperation. The central theme of the activity is Enterprise cooperation in Education, which the educational institutions will discuss.
The University will welcome, from Hamk, Vice Rector Janne Salminen, Research Director in Bioeconomy Research Unit Annukka Pakarinen, Director of Property Manegement Tuomas Salonen and Haead of International Affairs Kati Heikkinen. From Via, the Rector, Harald Mikkelsen, the Research Director, Research and Development Center for Construction, Energy, Water and Climate Theis Raaschou Andersen and the Project Manager Anna Kronborg Bell.
For Feevale’s Rector, Cleber Prodanov, it is important to discuss the link between company and university at the seminar so that educational institutions understand their functionalities and can develop projects together.
All meetings have a theme and so we analyze the relationship between companies and universities for an exchange of experiences, in order to connect the three institutions. We are creating global education products so that the three institutions can sell or spread worldwide”, he says.
The Director of International and Institutional Affairs, Paula Casari Cundari, hopes that the seminar will promote an engagement focused on entrepreneurship, which is already the case in teaching and research. “The three universities have technology parks and are committed to regional development, but the idea is to expand this by connecting Nordic and Latin companies, so that it creates intelligence that can be applied to the global marketplace,” she explains.
During the seminar, visitors will visit spaces such as the National Shoe Museum, located at Campus I, the Fashion Lab, the Technology Workshop and Feevale Theater, among other Campus II locations, the Health Specialties Integrated Center, the Clean Technologies Center and the units of Feevale Techpark, in Novo Hamburgo and Campo Bom.
