Classes are online
Students from Feevale's international partner institutions are attending the Portuguese for Foreigners course, lasting until July 7th. The initiative, promoted by Feevale's International and Institutional Affairs Office, brings together 39 academics from six countries: Germany, Belgium, Chile, Finland, Mexico and Peru. The classes, which are free and online, are taught by professor Rosi Ana Gregis, from the Institution's Languages course.
The qualification aims to help people who want to learn Portuguese, introducing the Brazilian language and culture to the participants, as well as integrating academics from different international institutions. “Among the skills and competences that every professional should have is the idiomatic fluency. To train students from other countries who want to exchange at our University, Feevale offers this opportunity. In 2021, the number of candidates increased a lot, we are optimistic about the demand for international students and we are organizing more classes soon”, said Paula Casari Cundari, Director of International and Institutional Affairs.
Jaime Muro Llosa, Academic Head of Communication at Private Higher Institute Toulouse Lautrec, Peru, says that the students who have this opportunity are happy and grateful. "With this approach of the Portuguese language, not only do we strengthen our institutional bonds, but we also expand the possibilities of projection to the professional market of our students”, he highlighted.
We had more than 1600 requests for this course, a number that shows the interest and willingness to get to know and learn more about Brazil", he concluded.
