Event takes place from October 16 to 18 and proposes the development of scientific theories
Representing Feevale University, Professor of Law Claudia Maria Petry de Faria will attend the IV International Congress of Human Rights of Coimbra, which will take place from October 16 to 18, in Coimbra, Portugal. The professor will present the work The value of life in Brumadinho: an analysis of the unconstitutionality of the pricing of moral damages in the labor sphere, carried out in her PhD thesis on Environmental Quality, from Feevale's postgraduate program. The theme addresses Brumadinho's tragedy as a demonstration of the unconstitutionality of the provisions contained in labor legislation, as it hurts constitutional principles such as the Principles of Human Dignity and Equality.
The congress is a moment of reflection and debate about different and relevant socio-legal issues found in the field of Human Rights. The purpose of this international academic event is to foster, according to its thematic proposition, the construction of ideas and the development of scientific theories from a multidisciplinary and critical perspective of the social and legal sciences.
